Infants Creative Curriculum Program
Welcome to Carrier Learning Center’s Creative Curriculum program for our Infants. Here we include basic monthly themes for the Infants where they develop routines involving, hellos and goodbyes, diapering, eating and mealtimes, sleeping and getting dressed. They also gain experiences, which involves playing with toys, listening to story books, music, sensory and going outdoors.
Each month features a different theme. Although, babies do not understand the themes, our parents and teachers do. However, babies and even toddlers enjoy it because it changes their environment with new things to look at and new things to do. This also has the added benefit of stimulating their senses. Each theme is fairly basic and allows the teacher to interact with the children through story books, music, songs, rhymes and pictures.

Baby Signing
Here at Carrier Learning Center, we encourage the teachers to teach American Sign Language to Infants and Toddlers to motivate their speech development. Researchers have found that baby signing has done wonders for teachers and parents. Young children have been able to communicate feelings and emotions through signing before they can form words. Although they can understand many of the words they hear, they have not yet developed the language to spit them out.
At times signing can also help prevent temper tantrums due to the lack of speech and also help you to understand what the child’s needs are.
